Product Life Cycle Manager (m/f/d)
in Schwäbisch Gmünd

Your core tasks

  • Cross-functional leadership of project teams within operations and marketing who are responsible for new product developments and launch of figurines and playsets
  • Cross-functional leadership of project teams to execute product change requests to drive down cost and to improve quality and compliance
  • Cross-functional leadership of a project team to ensure all associated documentation, tooling, intellectual property and physical products are archived at the end of a product's active life
  • Development and deployment of project plans for 2-3 franchises, including resource and budget plans, monitor on-time release of process steps, track and report project progress
  • Ensure that the project budget allocated across functions is achieved, with the objective to complete the project on budget
  • Create a value stream map for the product that defines the physical product flow, lead-time, cost and sustainability of the product
  • Perform a "lessons learned" review for completed launches and actively participate in the implementation of process optimizations in the product development process
  • Coordinate product change requests by assessing cost and time to implement, followed by coordinating across cross-functional teams to drive product improvements
  • Lead a product exit review semi-annually, to share plan vs. actual deviations of products

Your profile

  • You have successfully completed studies in the field of Business Administration, Business Engineering, Product Management or comparable qualifications.
  • You’ve gained professional experience in project management / launch management / controlling of development projects (ideally in an industrial environment).
  • You have a good technical understanding of plastic molding processes and tooling development.
  • You have good knowledge of MS Office programs, including project management tools such as MS Projects, as well as SAP (module PS).
  • You have good knowledge of German and English, both written and spoken.
  • You have an independent working style with distinct initiative as well as a confident appearance combined with very good communication and presentation skills.
  • You are assertive in complex team structures, persistent and result-oriented.
  • You have an above-average commitment, high resilience, entrepreneurial thinking and a good view of the big picture.
  • You enjoy working in teams.
