Senior Accounts Receivable Accountant (d/f/m)
in Amsterdam (Netherlands), Lyon (France), Munich (Germany) or Schwäbisch Gmünd (Germany)

The following adventures await you at Schleich:

  • Payment application to customer accounts and reconciliation of short payments
  • Primary on Daily Cash/bank deposits
  • Issue National & Specialty account credit notes (re: short shipments, defective product, etc.)
  • Maintenance of Assigned National accounts
  • Send monthly statements to all customers with outstanding balances
  • Heavy Collection calls on assigned specialty customers
  • Support for individual and automatic credit card payment processing
  • Send statements as needed per customers’ requests
  • Maintain Sales Tax Exemption Certificate database
  • Preparation/reconciliation of monthly Allowance for Doubtful Accounts
  • Preparation of Daily Sales Reports for Sales and Management team
  • Reconciliation of assigned GL accounts at month End
  • Responsible for preparation of internal monthly Financial Reports
  • Maintenance of National accounts using online portals to ensure that all company invoices are recognized and accepted by customers
  • Monitor customer non-compliance deduction data, and communicate data within the organization to refute with customer
  • Reconcile and maintain sales allowances for key accounts, measuring against written contracts
  • Reconciliation and analyze COGS Statement and Sales Deductions
  • Maintain monthly credit and sales allowance accruals for all customers, including National Accounts; forecast the same for the remainder of the year by month and prepare estimates for FY budgets
  • Preparation of monthly reoccurring Journal entries
  • Preparing and filing monthly/quarterly/yearly sales tax returns for US and Canada

Your story so far:

  • 5 + years of experience in accounting department preferred. 
  • Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP), Accounts Receivable, Cash Applications
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, v lookups, etc.) 
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to the appropriate level of detail 
  • Self-starter/quick learner, but knows when to ask questions 
  • Mental agility and resilience to adapt to multiple and changing tasks in a fast-paced environment 
  • Plays well with others (good interpersonal skills), but can also work independently 
  • Excellent English communication skills, oral and written
