Your core tasks

Reporting to the UK Marketing Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing the UK’s trade marketing activity.
  • Retail Point-of-Sale (POS) – plan, and then assist in the implementation of all major retail POS installations, and be capable of installing standard POS systems, as well as creating and updating a detailed database of customer POS and reviewing the ROI.
  • Retailer Planograms – detailed planning of individual retailer planograms, across various channels, to maximise sales, ensure visual appeal and brand style guide compliance. Competent in the use of POG software packages e.g. Xpace, or similar, as well as physically building planograms in the company’s showroom.
  • Brand Compliance – champion the correct implementation of the latest brand POS and sales aids across all retail platforms.
  • Trade Digital Marketing – work with key retailers to ensure online consistency for the Schleich brand and optimise communication.
  • Trade Fairs – responsibility for all UK Trade Shows, e.g. London Toy Fair, including stand design, planning, set-up, communication, creating sales tools, and all follow-up.
  • Retailer Promotions – creating and distributing customer promotional marketing materials and ensuring retailer in-store and online compliance.
  • Sales Team – assisting the sales team with the regular communication of trade marketing initiatives and assistance with any key account promotional requirements.
  • Customer Presentations – assist in the creation of customer presentations, as required.
  • Budgets – monitoring ongoing trade marketing spending against the agreed budget.

Your profile

  • A genuine passion for toys!
  • Degree level education, ideally in Marketing, or CIM qualification.
  • Relevant work experience, ideally in Toys, Licensing, Media, Retail or Entertainment.
  • Trade marketing experience and knowledge of point-of-sale and planogramming tools.
  • Excellent computer skills – particularly Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and POG Software.
  • Bright, enthusiastic and creative.
  • Exceptional organisational and project management skills with a very keen eye for detail.
  • A great team player (m/f/d), with a ‘no problem’ hands-on attitude.
  • Able to work in a hands-on, fast-paced environment.
  • Prepared to work occasional weekends as required e.g. Trade Fairs and Retailer events.
