Chief Accountant - German speaking (all genders)
Please note that this position is based in Munich/Germany or Prague/ Czech Republic and follows our hybrid working model. Relocation support is not offered.
The following adventures await you at Schleich:
- Responsibility for the monthly, quarterly, and annual preparation of individual financial statements according to HGB and IFRS
- Group-wide policy expertise and co-responsibility for the Group Accounting Policy in collaboration with the Manager Group Accounting – including coaching on relevant topics within the company
- Documentation and ensuring availability of all records for auditors and tax inspections
- Pragmatic implementation of tax compliance requirements
- Professional support and involvement in global projects, e.g., IFRS implementation or expansion of the Schleich Group
- Subject matter expert and central point of contact for accounting matters within the Schleich Group
- Extensive experience with SAP is an advantage in daily operations
- Point of contact for auditors and top management
Your story so far:
- You have a degree in business administration (e.g., BWL, Accounting, or similar) or an equivalent qualification; a professional exam (CPA) is an advantage
- You have at least five years of relevant professional experience in financial accounting, management accounting, or a comparable accounting role
- You have solid knowledge of accounting under HGB and IFRS
- You are characterized by an analytical, structured, and independent way of working
- You excel at the continuous improvement of existing processes
- You bring strong communication and implementation skills as well as team spirit
- Excellent German and English skills as well as experience with SAP R/3 or S/4HANA complete your profile
