Controller – Cost & Margin (all genders)
Please note that this position is based in Munich and follows our hybrid working model. Relocation support is not offered.

The following adventures await you at Schleich:

In this role, you create transparency around our margins, cost structures and key profitability drivers. You analyse COGS, variances and developments across our product portfolio and translate complex data into clear recommendations for management and business functions. Working closely with Procurement, Supply Chain, Demand Planning, Product Management and Finance, you support both operational and strategic decision-making in an international environment.

  • You analyse product margins, COGS and underlying cost structures, making their impact on profitability and performance visible
  • You conduct actuals, forecast and year-over-year analyses and derive opportunities, risks and clear recommendations for action
  • You assess developments in sourcing, logistics, production, inventory and product costs with a clear view on margins and financial steering
  • You support budgeting, forecasting and annual planning processes and challenge forecasts with a strong understanding of financial impact
  • You prepare regular margin analyses, business reviews and management reports, turning data into clear decision-making support
  • You act as a business partner for Supply Chain, Procurement, Product Management, Demand Planning and Finance and further develop reporting and performance management tools

Your story so far:

What matters most to us: We are not looking for someone who focuses purely on reporting, but for someone who truly understands margin development, connects the dots between demand, inventory, costs and profitability, and turns insights into pragmatic, actionable recommendations.

  • You have a degree in business administration, finance, controlling, economics or a comparable field
  • You bring initial to several years of experience in controlling, finance or a comparable analytical role
  • Experience in cost controlling, margin controlling, supply chain finance, manufacturing controlling or commercial controlling is a plus
  • You have a good understanding of COGS analyses, contribution margins, profitability KPIs as well as budgeting, forecasting and variance analyses
  • You are confident working with Excel and ideally have experience with ERP and BI solutions such as SAP, Power BI or Lucanet
  • You think analytically, work in a structured and solution-oriented way and are able to translate complex data into clear insights
  • You feel comfortable in an international environment and communicate confidently in German and English
