The following adventures await you at Schleich:

As Controller - SG&A & OPEX (all genders), you create transparency across our operating cost structures and support our business functions in making well-founded decisions. You analyze budgets, forecasts and variances, identify relevant cost drivers and actively contribute your insights to the further development of our international Controlling setup.

  • You manage and analyze our operating costs, particularly in the area of SG&A and OPEX, and carry out plan-versus-actual as well as forecast analyses
  • ou identify cost drivers, spending trends, risks and opportunities and derive ideas for optimization
  • You support budget owners in better understanding and actively managing their cost development
  • You monitor and validate intercompany cost charges and cost allocations across legal entities and business units
  • You support the financial steering of shared service center activities and ensure transparency and consistency in the related reporting
  • You monitor foreign exchange developments and analyze their impact on costs, planning and profitability
  • You prepare regular management reports, variance analyses and presentations as a basis for well-founded decisions
  • You support monthly closing, forecasting, budgeting and annual planning processes
  • You act as a sparring partner for functions such as Marketing, Sales, IT and Finance as well as for leaders and budget owners
  • You actively contribute to the further development of controlling processes, reports and performance management tools

Your story so far:

  • You have a degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics or a comparable qualification
  • You bring first professional experience in Controlling, Finance, Accounting, Audit, Consulting or a comparable analytical role
  • You have a strong interest in financial analysis, cost management and business performance
  • You have a good understanding of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting and variance analyses
  • You enjoy working with data and quickly identify the key drivers behind financial developments
  • You work independently, take ownership of your topics and proactively drive initiatives forward
  • You convince with strong analytical skills, a solution-oriented mindset and a pragmatic hands-on mentality
  • You bring very good Excel skills; experience with ERP and BI systems such as SAP, Lucanet or Power BI is a plus
  • You work in a structured and reliable way and bring a high level of accountability
  • You communicate confidently in German and English, both written and spoken, enabling you to collaborate effectively in our international environment and local Controlling team
