Please note that this position is based in Munich and follows our hybrid working model. Relocation support is not offered.
The following adventures await you at Schleich:
As a Controller Sales & Commercial (all genders), you will create transparency around the performance of our sales business and support data-driven decision-making across revenue, pricing, and profitability. You will analyze commercial developments, identify risks and opportunities, and work closely with Sales, Marketing, and Finance to drive sustainable growth.
- You analyze sales performance from customer, channel, and key account perspectives and perform plan-versus-actual, forecast, and year-over-year analyses
- You evaluate the impact of price changes, customer conditions, discounts, and marketing investments on net sales and profitability
- You identify commercial risks and opportunities and translate them into actionable recommendations
- You support the further development of pricing structures, customer conditions, and commercial steering models
- You assess growth initiatives and business cases from a revenue, margin, and profitability perspective
- You analyze volume, sales, pricing, and margin developments and communicate key insights to stakeholders
- You support forecasting, budgeting, and annual planning processes while challenging assumptions and identifying risks and opportunities
- You act as a sparring partner for Sales, Marketing, and management on commercial and strategic topics
- You prepare management reports, analyses, and decision-making materials to support informed business decisions
- You continuously enhance KPIs, reporting, and performance management tools to strengthen commercial steering
Your story so far:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Controlling, Economics, or a related field
- Initial to several years of professional experience in Controlling, Finance, or a comparable analytical role
- Experience in Sales Controlling, Commercial Controlling, Pricing, Customer Profitability, or Margin Controlling is an advantage
- Good understanding of commercial performance drivers, contribution margins, and profitability metrics
- Experience with forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and translating financial data into business-relevant insights
- Experience within the toy industry, consumer goods, retail, or a comparable business environment is considered a plus
- Advanced Excel skills and experience working with ERP and BI solutions (e.g., SAP, Power BI and Lucanet)
- Strong analytical mindset and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
- Self-driven, structured, and solution-oriented working style
- Fluent German and English skills, both written and spoken, are required to effectively collaborate in our international organization and local Controlling team.
