Please note that this position is based in Munich/Germany and Prague/ Czech Republic and follows our hybrid working model. Relocation support is not offered.

The following adventures await you at Schleich:

In this role, you assume functional responsibility for the Accounting team within the Shared Service Center in Prague and act as a central point of expertise for accounting, financial reporting and accounting principles across the Schleich Group.

  • You are responsible for the monthly, quarterly and annual preparation of individual financial statements in accordance with HGB and IFRS within the Shared Service Center. In doing so, you ensure a consistently high quality of financial reporting and act as a reliable sparring partner for all accounting‑related matters
  • You hold group‑wide policy responsibility and contribute to the ongoing development of the Group Accounting Policy in close collaboration with internal stakeholders. This includes providing technical guidance and coaching on relevant accounting and principles‑based topics across the organization
  • You ensure complete, audit‑ready documentation and the availability of all required records for external audits as well as tax audits, and you take a pragmatic approach to the implementation and safeguarding of tax‑compliance requirements in day‑to‑day operations
  • In addition, you provide technical support and guidance for global projects, such as the introduction or further development of IFRS standards or initiatives related to the expansion of the Schleich Group
  • You act as the central point of contact for accounting and principles‑based matters within the Schleich Group and serve as a key contact for external auditors and management on all accounting‑related topics

Your story so far: 

  • You hold a completed degree in business administration, accounting or a related field, or an equivalent qualification. A professional certification such as CPA is considered an advantage
  • You have at least ten years of relevant professional experience in financial accounting, general ledger accounting or accounting in a comparable role
  • You possess strong expertise in accounting under HGB and IFRS and apply this knowledge confidently in a complex, international environment
  • You are characterized by an analytical, structured and self‑driven way of working and take ownership of your responsibilities
  • The continuous improvement of existing processes is one of your strengths, and you actively contribute to efficiency and quality enhancements
  • You demonstrate strong communication and execution skills and enjoy working collaboratively within a team and across functions
  • You bring extensive experience with common ERP systems, which supports your effectiveness in day‑to‑day operations
  • Very good German and English language skills, both written and spoken, complete your profile
  • You are willing to work on site at the Shared Service Center in Prague approximately once per month for about one week
