Industrial Designer (all genders)
Please note that this position is based in Munich and follows our hybrid working model. Relocation support is not offered.

The following adventures await you at Schleich:

  • You develop innovative and market-ready design concepts in the toy industry
  • You design products from the initial idea through concepting, sketching and prototyping all the way to the final design
  • You are responsible for all phases of the product development process – from concept phase to design freeze
  • You collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and external partners
  • You define and document relevant product specifications (e.g. play value, functions) in a structured and reliable way
  • You oversee budget and resource planning
  • You actively drive the further development of our external partner and supplier landscape

Your story so far:

  • You hold a degree in Design, Industrial Design, Product Design or a comparable qualification
  • You bring several years of experience in product development, ideally within the toy industry
  • You have strong knowledge in developing plastic components, with a focus on feasibility and cost efficiency
  • Design is your language – you visualize ideas convincingly across different digital media
  • You work confidently with design software such as SolidWorks and Rhino - experience with ZBrush is a plus
  • Experience and interest in AI tools is desirable and considered an advantage
  • You are proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite and MS365 tools
  • Experience in 3D printing and model making is a strong plus
  • Your working style is independent, structured and characterized by clear, goal‑oriented communication
  • You have excellent English skills, German is a plus
  • You view travel to trade fairs and suppliers as a valuable opportunity to dive deeper into projects
  • You are a creative mind with enthusiasm for bringing product worlds to life through storytelling and smart ideas
