We are looking for a creative and experienced POS Marketing Manager (all genders) to join our team in Munich, Germany
 
In this key role, you are responsible for the first introduction of a product into retail channels. You will shape our merchandising strategies across various channels and store formats. Your mission includes developing impactful retail and POS marketing strategies to enhance customer engagement and drive sales. You are in charge of our POS and you will create innovative merchandising principles and actionable plans. Additionally, you will monitor performance and collaborate closely with our Sales and Marketing teams to achieve results. Bring your passion for retail and become a part of our team!

Strategy
  • Retail strategy: Continuously monitor and analyze trends within the retail landscape of key markets, staying informed about the ever-evolving retailer, consumer and shopper behaviors in these regions
  • POS Marketing Strategies: Develop and implement comprehensive POS marketing strategies to drive sales and enhance customer experience
Implementation
  • Planogram Development and Execution: Develop and implement strategic trade planograms across various channels and store formats
  • Merchandising Principles: Create high-level merchandising principles tailored to different store sizes based on category management input
  • POS Materials Development: Develop and implement impactful and shopper marketing-oriented POS materials
  • POS System Management: Continuously improve our POS fixtures consisting of a gondola, merchandiser and backwall system, and guide its execution to maximize impact at the POS 
  • Operational Management: Oversee SAP workflows, budget planning, and ensure efficient operational execution with stakeholders and agencies
  • Retail Partner Collaboration: Work closely with retail partners to ensure effective implementation of activation plans
 
Performance tracking
  • Performance Analysis (Monitoring): Track POS marketing campaigns and trade planogram performance, analyze effectiveness, and make necessary adjustments to optimize strategies
  • Implementation Tracking: Track implementation success rates, document learnings, and ensure they are reported and applied
Team leadership and communication
  • Team Leadership: Lead a graphic designer responsible for creating sales aids materials, such as catalogues
  • Internal stakeholder communication: Communicate merchandising strategies clearly with the Sales/Marketing teams and other stakeholders to ensure consistent brand messaging and implementation
  • External stakeholder communication: Build a collaborative and trusted partnership with the with key retail partners and agencies
  • Continuous Improvement: Continuously seek opportunities to innovate and improve shopper activation efforts while engaging in ongoing learning and refining merchandising strategies based on feedback and real-world applications

Your story so far: 

The ideal candidate for the Trade Marketing/POS Marketing Manager (all genders) role will be a results-oriented professional with solid experience in retail marketing and in-store promotions. You will have a strong understanding of consumer behavior, retail trends, and how to drive sales through effective point-of-sale strategies. You will excel in managing relationships with retailers, executing campaigns, and optimizing product visibility. With your strong project management, analytical skills, and creativity, you will collaborate effectively with sales and marketing teams to optimize consumer experience and drive sales.
  • Bachelor’s Degree: In Business Administration, Marketing, Retail Management, or a related field. An advanced degree (e.g., MBA) is a plus
  • Experience in Trade Marketing/POS: at least 2-3 years of proven experience in trade marketing, developing and implementing merchandising strategies and planograms
  • Strategic Planning Skills: Proven track record of solution-oriented and target-driven approach with the ability to plan strategically and execute at both high and operational levels
  • Analytical Abilities: Strong skills in tracking and understanding performance metrics and making data-driven adjustments – strong experience with data analytics platform such as Circana
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional communication skills in both German and English with an ability to effectively engage and collaborate across diverse teams (both internal and external stakeholders)
  • Operational Proficiency: Experience with SAP workflows, budget management, and coordination with stakeholders and agencies
  • Leadership Experience: Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a direct report.
  • Continuous Improvement Mindset: Strong focus on customer, shopper, and consumer insights, leveraging data-driven strategies to drive growth and engagement
