Senior Key Account Manager (all genders)
Please note that this position is based in Genas/Lyon and follows our hybrid working model. Relocation support is not offered.

The following adventures await you at Schleich:

  • Own and execute the national sales and distribution strategy for France, with a strong focus on mass market, hypermarkets and discount channels.
  • Manage and grow national key accounts across toy speciality, grocery, food and non-food discounters, including their e-commerce platforms.
  • Deliver profitable sales and achieve agreed sales and profit targets in line with Schleich’s annual business plans.
  • Create, implement and continuously update annual business plans and sales forecasts per key account, franchise and customer.
  • Define, negotiate and manage customer-specific terms, conditions, pricing and promotional activities aligned with Schleich’s commercial strategy.
  • Proactively identify and develop new business opportunities, translating market and competitor insights into sustainable growth.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance and Customer Support to ensure best-in-class execution and demand fulfilment.
  • Represent Schleich at key national and international trade fairs and maintain structured documentation of all major customer interactions.

Your story so far:

  • Several years of successful experience in key account or national account management within the French toy industry would be a plus.
  • Proven expertise in Toys Speciality stores, hypermarket and discount channel development, including strong understanding of mass-market dynamics.
  • Deep knowledge of seasonal (Christmas) and year-round assortments, with frequent range changes.
  • Strong network and personal credibility within the French toy retail landscape.
    Commercially driven “hunter” mindset with the ability to identify, evaluate and realise new business opportunities.
  • Confident, persuasive communicator with strong negotiation and presentation skills, able to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Analytical, structured and self-driven, able to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English, willing to travel within France and internationally (e.g. Nürnberg Toy Fair).
