(Senior) Key Account Manager - UK (all genders)
Please note that this position is based in London/ Watford and follows our hybrid working model. Relocation support is not offered.
The following adventures await you at Schleich:
- Delivering profitable sales in line with Schleich’s annual business plans through developing and managing customer relationships across an allocated group of retailers.
- Proactively identify, develop and secure new national retail business to expand Schleich’s footprint across the UK market.
- Drive lead generation and prospecting activities, including active participation in key industry events, trade shows and exhibitions.
- Build and grow strong relationships with senior buyers, with a primary focus on unlocking new commercial opportunities.
- Deliver impactful sell-in meetings, previews and business plan presentations to convert opportunities into long-term growth.
- Create and execute customer-specific growth strategies, fully aligned with KPIs, targets and company objectives.
- Collaborate closely with the Head of Sales UK&I on pricing, promotions, customer terms and strategic initiatives for new business development.
- Work cross-functionally with Customer Support, Logistics, Development and Marketing to deliver best-in-class solutions for newly acquired all customers.
- Continuously track market developments and competitor activity, transforming insights into actionable sales opportunities.
Your story so far:
- Proactive, energetic self-starter with a proven track record of winning and developing national retail business (Grocery/Discounter experience desirable).
- Strong hunter mindset: target-driven, opportunity-oriented and motivated by building new business rather than maintaining the status quo.
- Excellent communication and pitching skills, able to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Experienced in using reporting and operational tools (Power BI / SAP) to identify, prioritise and act on opportunities.
- Highly skilled in negotiation and closing, delivering mutually beneficial outcomes for both customer and company.
- Analytical, detail-oriented and structured, with strong organisational abilities.
- High level of initiative and ownership, combined with effective time management and collaboration within a team environment.
- Flexible and mobile, holding a full UK driving licence and comfortable with regular travel and occasional overnight stays.
